At the Quantum Device Lab at ETH Zurich and the ETH Zurich – PSI Quantum Computing Hub, we are dedicated to developing large-scale quantum computers while fostering collaboration between academic and industrial partners in the emerging ecosystem of quantum technologies.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Project Administrator to support the coordination of a significant third-party-funded research project, funded by a U.S. agency, as well as other ongoing research projects within our team. This role also encompasses general administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the project manager in overseeing project finances, monitoring expenditures, and preparing financial reports.
- Serve as a liaison between our group, various units within ETH Zurich, external partners, and funding agencies.
- Organize meetings and workshops, coordinate logistics, and contribute to broader administrative tasks across various projects within the group.
Position Details
This is a temporary position, initially limited to 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The role is offered at 40% to 80%, depending on your interests and educational background.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree (from a university or university of applied sciences) or a commercial or administrative qualification.
- Demonstrated interest and proven competence in financial topics, such as budgeting, cost tracking, or financial reporting.
- Practical experience in project administration, ideally in an academic or research context.
- A structured and precise working style, complemented by strong organizational and communication skills.
- Enjoyment in organizing events (e.g., meetings, workshops) and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent command of English and good German skills, both written and spoken.
