The Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG) at ETH Zurich is a center of excellence for interdisciplinary education and research in governance and public management. As part of the Department of Management, Technology and Economics (D-MTEC), SSPG provides continuing education for professionals in public administration, NGOs, and international organizations. With a strong focus on higher education management and translational research, SSPG integrates Switzerland’s governance expertise with global perspectives.
Position: Programme Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated Programme Coordinator to assist in designing, organizing, and delivering impactful learning experiences for leaders in the public and non-profit sectors through our expanding portfolio of continuing and executive education offerings.
The position is initially limited to one year, with the potential to become permanent, and will be available starting from 1 August 2025, or by mutual agreement.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning, delivery, and further development of the programme curricula, particularly the CAS in Public Governance and Administration.
Maintain relationships and communication with a range of stakeholders, including faculty, students, alumni, donors, external partners, and prospective participants.
Organize the logistical aspects of programmes and events, such as room bookings, catering, and invitations.
Monitor programme-related finances.
Identify and implement AI- and digitally enabled improvements to current processes for greater cost-effectiveness and user experience.
Lead communication and marketing efforts, including the management of website and social media content, campaign planning, and the production of promotional materials.
Contribute to the conceptualization of new continuing education activities.
Provide administrative support to the school management.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
A degree from either a university or a university of applied sciences, ideally in public or non-profit management, social or political sciences, or a related field.
Experience coordinating education or study programmes, preferably in a higher education environment.
A strong interest in Switzerland’s public and non-profit sectors, especially in higher education.
A motivation for topics such as public management, governance, and administration, with a desire to contribute to impactful continuing education.
Demonstrated initiative, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
A service-oriented mindset, with strong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Confidence in managing digital communication channels, including websites and social media.
Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken; proficiency in French is an asset.
