Program Manager / Program Manageress

ETH Zurich - May 8, 2025

Program Manager for the ETH Accelerator

80%-100%, Zurich, fixed-term

ETH Entrepreneurship is the staff unit of the Vice President for Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations, dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship at ETH and assisting aspiring ETH founders in launching their new ventures. ETH spin-offs are deep technology ventures rooted in research results from ETH Zurich, with over 30 new spin-offs established each year.

Project Background

The Pioneer Fellowship Deep-Tech Incubation Program is a highly successful initiative for ETH spin-offs that has been operating for 15 years. As we anticipate introducing a new ETH start-up label in 2025, we project the establishment of 40-60 ETH start-ups annually. To support these emerging companies, ETH Zurich is launching an acceleration program in collaboration with UBS this fall. We are therefore seeking to expand our team by hiring a Program Manager for the ETH Accelerator.

Job Description

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of the Accelerator Program. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and developing the Accelerator Program, which encompasses:

  • Planning and organizing the program schedule.
  • Managing the selection process.
  • Interacting with applicants, the evaluation committee, and other stakeholders.
  • Organizing and conducting entrepreneurship workshops, bootcamps, and community events.
  • Tracking and analyzing the success of the program, while gathering feedback from participants to aid in the continuous strategic development of the Accelerator Program.

Throughout the three-month program, you will serve as the primary contact for the Accelerator Fellows. Additionally, you will support the management of the Pioneer Fellowship Deep-Tech Incubation Program and collaborate with other teams within ETH Entrepreneurship and ETH units such as ETH Foundation, ETH transfer, Student Project House, and ETH Entrepreneur Club.

Profile

To thrive in this position, you should possess a university degree, preferably in a technical field, along with 2-5 years of experience in the start-up or venture incubation sector. A passion for driving entrepreneurial excellence is essential. You are a highly motivated individual who takes initiative, communicates effectively, and enjoys collaboration with colleagues and start-up founders. You appreciate diverse perspectives and know how to integrate them with your own ideas. Strong management and organizational skills are a must, and fluency in both English and German is required.

This is a fixed-term position (80%-100%) available immediately, initially for one year, with the possibility of an extension in line with the Accelerator Program's duration. Presence in the office is required every Thursday from November to January and April to June, including participation in evening community events.
