Program Manager for the ETH Accelerator

ETH Entrepreneurship, part of the Vice President Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations, fosters entrepreneurship at ETH and supports aspiring founders in launching their innovative ventures. ETH spin-offs are deep technology enterprises based on research outcomes from ETH Zurich, with more than 30 new spin-offs launched each year.

Project Background

The Pioneer Fellowship Deep-Tech Incubation Program has been a resounding success for ETH spin-offs, operating for over 15 years. In addition, ETH start-ups, which are technology companies founded on knowledge gained at ETH Zurich, are expected to increase significantly with the introduction of a new ETH start-up label in 2025—anticipating 40-60 new start-ups annually. To reinforce support for these ventures, ETH Zurich will initiate an acceleration program in collaboration with UBS this fall. Consequently, we are seeking to expand our team with a Program Manager for the ETH Accelerator.

Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Head of the Accelerator Program. Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and developing the Accelerator Program
• Planning and organizing the program schedule
• Managing the selection process and engaging with stakeholders
• Organizing and conducting workshops, bootcamps, and community events
• Tracking and analyzing program success while gathering feedback from participants
• Supporting the program management of the Pioneer Fellowship Deep-Tech Incubation Program

Throughout the three-month program, you will serve as the primary contact for the Accelerator Fellows and will collaborate with the broader ETH Entrepreneurship team and other ETH units, such as the ETH Foundation, ETH Transfer, Student Project House, and the ETH Entrepreneur Club.

Profile

To thrive in this position, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A university degree, ideally in a technical field
• 2-5 years of experience in start-up or venture incubation
• A passion for driving entrepreneurial excellence
• Strong motivation and a proactive approach
• Exceptional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Fluency in English and German

This fixed-term position (80-100%) is available immediately, initially for 1 year, with the option to extend for the duration of the Accelerator Program. Presence in the office is required every Thursday (including evening community events) from November to January and April to June.
