The Swiss Ice Hockey Federation (SIHF) serves as the umbrella organization for Swiss ice hockey. Our "Sport" area is responsible for all national teams, including the entire youth sector (Talent & Youth Sports). The "Leagues & Cup" department oversees the operations of all leagues and cup formats, ranging from the Sky Swiss League to the 4th League, as well as all women’s and junior leagues. Additionally, SIHF includes the "Officiating" and "Education" departments, which focus on the refereeing system and the training and further education for the entire Swiss ice hockey community.

Location: Glattbrugg, near Zurich Airport
Your Responsibilities
- Officiate games in the National League, Sky Swiss League, and U21 Elite at the highest level, adhering to SIHF/IIHF regulations.
- Make real-time decisions that reflect strong game management and consistent rule enforcement.
- Ensure the safety of players while maintaining the flow of the game through effective prevention and de-escalation techniques.
- Conduct preparation and post-game analyses, including briefings, checks, debriefings, along with clip and self-reviews.
- Create timely game reports and supplementary notifications, as well as support disciplinary and review processes for efficient operations.
- Engage in training programs, participate in camps and changes, and contribute valuable insights for the continuous development of Swiss refereeing.
Your Profile
- A minimum of ten years of experience as a professional ice hockey referee at the highest levels, both domestically and internationally, with IIHF certification.
- Strong knowledge of rules, effective interpretations, and extensive game management skills.
- Proficient in coaches' challenge and video review processes; comfortable with digital tools such as Game Center, reports, and clip reviews.
- Excellent command of English, with knowledge of German or French considered an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills, decision-making ability under pressure, and outstanding communication and team spirit.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, openness to feedback, flexibility, and availability for travel as required by the schedule of games.
