As we embark on an ambitious scale-up of our business, we are seeking a dedicated Production Technician to join our team.
Job Description
Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working in the laser production department with a focus on preparation, assembly, testing, and final packing of electro-optical products and subassemblies.
- Participating in the maintenance of our company's high-tech infrastructure and interacting closely with other departments such as Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Laser Engineering, and Logistics to continuously improve and automate production processes.
- Contributing to the success of our ultrafast lasers by building laser systems alongside our dedicated Production team.
- Collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers and manufacturing professionals to achieve production goals.
- Providing feedback to the engineering team and assisting in troubleshooting manufacturing processes and sub-assembly components, elevating our products to the next level.
- Enhancing productivity through your contributions to documentation and work instructions.
Experience and Education
Your background should include:
- A technical apprenticeship (e.g., lab assistant or lab technician) or several years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in an industrial environment requiring precision and accuracy.
- Ideally, knowledge in the field of optics and optics assembly, including experience working under cleanroom conditions.
- A self-motivated, ambitious, and flexible disposition, thriving in a dynamic team within a fast-growing business environment.
- Strong organizational skills, enabling you to prioritize tasks effectively and thrive with minimal supervision.
- A knack for adapting to new environments and quickly learning new concepts.
- Excellent team player with exceptional communication skills and documentation capabilities.
- Fluent in German and proficient in English.
Additional Requirements
You bring:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Word, etc.).
Conditions
- A valid Swiss work permit is required.
- The position offers 80% to 100% working hours (34-42 hours per week).
- This is an onsite position located at our headquarters near Zurich in Dübendorf, Switzerland.
- The preferred starting date is June 1, 2025.
