About the Role
In this role, you will take charge of planning materials for our Medium-/Low-Speed Division in Baden, Switzerland. You will ensure timely and efficient material availability for our manufacturing production schedule by managing inventory and analyzing demand. This position involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders to prevent shortages and overstocking.
Your Responsibilities
- Short-Term Demand & Supply Planning: Analyze demand and translate incoming volumes into a tactical short-term supply plan to meet identified customer demands.
- Production Planning: Create the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and assembly plan that align with demand forecasts and inventory goals.
- Material Planning: Ensure that material availability aligns with the production schedule to maintain a seamless flow of raw materials.
- Inventory Management: Manage stock levels to achieve optimal inventory targets, preventing stockouts or overstocks.
- Inventory Parameters: Maintain and calculate inventory parameters in ERP and planning systems, including safety stock and reorder points.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and efficiently resolve any issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential disruptions in the supply chain and develop contingency plans.
Your Background
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in material/production planning, inventory control, purchasing, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferably SAP, GIB, EWM, Felios), as well as Microsoft Office tools.
- Problem-Solving: Strong aptitude for quick and effective resolution of unexpected issues, adopting a collaborative approach.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control principles.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis tools, particularly MS Excel and Power BI, with keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent English and German communication skills, along with good negotiation abilities.
- Education: Relevant further education in the area of expertise is desired.
