Your Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning of assigned materials within the Medium- / Low-Speed Division based in Baden, Switzerland. Your contributions will ensure the timely and efficient availability of materials for our manufacturing production schedule by managing inventory and analyzing demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Short-Term Demand & Supply Planning: Analyze demand and create a short-term supply plan to meet customer requirements while providing input into Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
- Production Planning: Develop the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and assembly plan that align with demand forecasts and inventory goals, ensuring proper load levelling for production teams.
- Material Planning: Ensure the availability of materials that align with production schedules to maintain a smooth flow of raw materials and components.
- Inventory Management: Manage stock levels to optimize inventory targets, analyze excess and obsolete inventory, and implement appropriate actions.
- Inventory Parameters: Calculate and maintain inventory parameters such as safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, and replenishment strategies in relevant planning systems.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders for timely deliveries and to effectively resolve any related issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.
Your Background
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in material or production planning, inventory control, purchasing, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly SAP, GIB, EWM, Felios, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to swiftly address unexpected issues with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control principles.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly MS Excel and Power BI, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with fluent written and spoken proficiency in both German and English.
- Education: Further education related to the area of expertise is preferred.
