Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional for the planning of assigned materials in our Medium- / Low-Speed Division based in Baden, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient availability of materials for the manufacturing production schedule by managing inventory and analyzing demand. You will report to the Team Leader of Logistics & Operational Purchasing and play a key role in our regional success.

Your Responsibilities

  • Short-Term Demand & Supply Planning: Analyze demand and translate incoming volume into a tactical short-term supply plan to meet customer needs. Provide input into Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and address unresolved issues.
  • Production Planning: Create Master Production Schedules (MPS) and assembly plans aligned with demand forecasts and inventory goals. Ensure balanced workload for production teams and provide accurate delivery commitments.
  • Material Planning: Align material availability with production schedules to maintain an uninterrupted flow of raw materials and components from both internal and external sources.
  • Inventory Management: Manage stock levels to meet optimal inventory targets, analyze excess and obsolete inventory, and execute necessary scrapping activities. Optimize inventory performance in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Inventory Parameters: Calculate and maintain inventory parameters such as safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, and replenishment strategies within ERP systems.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and address any supply chain issues, while considering material obsolescence impacts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain.
  • Risk Management: Recognize potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.

Your Background

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in material/production planning, inventory control, purchasing, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (especially SAP, GIB, EWM, Felios, Microsoft Office Tools).
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve unexpected issues quickly and effectively with a collaborative, solution-focused approach.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control principles.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly MS Excel and Power BI, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with good negotiation abilities for coordinating with various teams. Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
  • Education: Further education relevant to the area of expertise is preferred.
