Production Lead / Production Leadess

Nutreco Switzerland GmbH - April 24, 2026

Why Join Us

Get ready to own the next frontier of specialty ingredients as a Bactotechnology Production Lead for NutEx Specialty Ingredients at Nutreco, an SHV company. By translating innovative phyto and bacterial research into safe, scalable production, you’ll help shape a new category of solutions that elevate animal health and performance. Take charge of your contribution, craftsmanship, and ambition.

About Nutreco Exploration

In 2021, we established Nutreco Exploration (NutEx) to develop novel ultra-specialty ingredients and future-ready functional feeds. NutEx advances two innovation paths — phytotechnology and bactotechnology — from early discovery through commercialization.

In our Nutreco Garden of the Future (NuGaFu), we explore how nature can help animals handle everyday challenges in smarter, more resilient ways. Through our work, we develop two kinds of EDGEOS solutions: BactoComplexes, inspired by beneficial bacteria, and PhytoComplexes, built from powerful plants that influence how animals cope with stressors beyond nutrition alone.

By turning these natural insights into practical, scalable ingredients, NutEx is building a new generation of ultra-specialty solutions that strengthen animals in a holistic way. Joining this team means helping shape a breakthrough area for NutEx and taking ownership of bringing these next-generation EDGEOS products to life.

What You’ll Do

As soon as a new NutEx BactoComplex (solutions inspired by helpful bacteria) or PhytoComplex (solutions built from plants) is selected for development, your work begins: translating early scientific insights into a robust, scalable production approach, validating feasibility, establishing procedures, selecting manufacturing partners, and ensuring that every batch meets NutEx quality and cost expectations. Your responsibilities include:

  • Shaping the production approach for new NutEx products by assessing feasibility, required process steps, capacity needs, and expected production costs.
  • Establishing scalable production procedures using in-house expertise to secure a smooth Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and reliable end-to-end supply.
  • Coordinating with external partners involved in supplying and processing samples, ensuring good communication, reliable delivery, and consistent quality during early production phases.
  • Safeguarding product specifications, quality standards, and cost frameworks while driving continuous improvements in efficiency and consistency.
  • Partnering with Regulatory, Quality Assurance, and Procurement to ensure compliant, safe, and cost-effective production across all markets.
  • Sharing knowledge and providing training to Nutreco Operating Companies and partners to support successful commercial roll-out.
