About Nutreco Exploration

In 2021, we established Nutreco Exploration (NutEx) to develop novel ultra-specialty ingredients and future-ready functional feeds. NutEx advances two innovation paths—phytotechnology and bactotechnology—from early discovery through commercialization.

In our Nutreco Garden of the Future (NuGaFu), we explore how nature can empower animals to tackle everyday challenges in smarter, more resilient ways. Our work leads to the development of two types of EDGEOS solutions: BactoComplexes, inspired by beneficial bacteria, and PhytoComplexes, derived from potent plants that help animals manage stressors beyond nutrition alone.

By transforming these natural insights into practical, scalable ingredients, NutEx is creating a new generation of ultra-specialty solutions that strengthen animals holistically. What You’ll Do

As soon as a new NutEx BactoComplex or PhytoComplex is selected for development, your work begins. You will be responsible for translating early scientific insights into a robust, scalable production approach, validating feasibility, establishing procedures, selecting manufacturing partners, and ensuring that every batch meets NutEx's quality and cost expectations. You will:

• Shape the production approach for new NutEx products by assessing feasibility, required process steps, capacity needs, and expected production costs.
• Establish scalable production procedures using in-house expertise while ensuring a smooth IBP process and reliable end-to-end supply.
• Coordinate with external partners to supply and process samples, ensuring effective communication, reliable delivery, and consistent quality during initial production phases.
• Safeguard product specifications, quality standards, and cost frameworks while driving continuous improvements in efficiency and consistency.
• Collaborate with Regulatory, QA, and Procurement teams to ensure compliant, safe, and cost-effective production across all markets.
• Share knowledge and provide training to Nutreco Operating Companies and partners to help support successful commercial roll-out.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a hands-on, proactive individual ready to take on a complex, cross-functional role that intersects science, scale-up, and supply. You possess a curious mindset, strong initiative, and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating across various teams and partners. You bring:

• A Master’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply chain or production operations, ideally including contract manufacturing, logistics, or industrialization.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across different teams and geographies.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Location and Working Conditions

This role will be based in Arbon, Thurgau, Switzerland. A full-time on-site presence in our Garden of the Future site is required for close collaboration with the team.
