The role of Product Owner Barryvox is central to the development and management of Mammut’s avalanche beacon platform. In this position, you will ensure that user needs are transformed into robust technical solutions that are successfully implemented.

In addition to spearheading product development, you will serve as the primary technical contact for our global organization. As the Product Owner Barryvox, you will drive the service network, ensuring reliable operation and continuous improvement of the Barryvox ecosystem. We are seeking a candidate to commence this role on September 1st, 2026, or by mutual agreement.

Your Responsibilities

• Barryvox Product Ownership: Lead the Barryvox product development by translating user and market needs into technical requirements. Coordinate with external development partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant products from briefing to production.
• Technical Product Expertise: Build and maintain deep product knowledge. Serve as a use case specialist in avalanche rescue and ensure a comprehensive understanding of the product among internal stakeholders.
• Validation & Compliance: Guarantee proper product validation (including lab and field testing) and compliance with internal standards, PPE directives, and applicable norms.
• Service & Platform Ownership: Oversee the Barryvox service infrastructure and maintenance software. Act as the global technical escalation point for Customer Service and Repair & Care teams, ensuring adequate support for existing product platforms.
• Training & Support: Conduct regular training sessions for global service teams and ensure consistent product knowledge and service quality worldwide.

Your Profile

• Degree in engineering (electronics, mechatronics, or similar) or a comparable background that combines technical and business expertise.
• Strong understanding of avalanche safety products and their applications.
• Experience in project and product management within the technical consumer electronics field.
• Solid understanding of product validation and certification processes.
• A creative, efficient, and adaptable personality with a keen interest in mountain sports activities.
• Team player with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, possessing strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and 3D CAD software.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
