Job Opportunity: Product Manager
We are currently seeking to recruit a key role within our organization: the Product Manager. This role encompasses the strategic and operational management of the Knee product portfolio at Symbios. As the Product Manager, you will define product strategy, drive product development, create marketing materials, and manage the entire product life cycle. You will work closely with R&D, Marketing, Clinical, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure that our products meet market needs, comply with regulatory requirements, and support the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Marketing to define strategic directions.
- Create product strategies and launch plans.
- Gather market inputs and insights.
- Engage in fieldwork with sales managers to understand regional differences, hospitals, and market dynamics in each country.
- Evaluate market feedback and needs from sales teams and orthopedic surgeons.
- Build strong customer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Involve surgeons in product development and validation.
Product Development
- Work with interdisciplinary project teams to define and develop new products from conception to global market launch.
- Support the regulatory affairs department in market entry strategies (FDA, MDR, etc.).
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs on label design.
- Manage product life cycles including the phase-in and phase-out of new and existing products.
Training & Education
- Create and contribute to global training content (internal and external).
- Act as a specialist during training sessions.
- Develop marketing materials, including brochures, surgical techniques, instrumentation datasheets, product presentations, and promotional banners.
- Maintain a list of external providers to support material creation.
- Create webpage content for product information.
- Conduct yearly forecasting for marketing materials.
Profile We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business/Marketing, Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical), Life Sciences, or an equivalent combination of technical and business education.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position within the medical technology field.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Good knowledge of WordPress.
- Experience in setting up training and education programs for surgeons and sales teams is a plus.
- Experience in project monitoring and management is essential.
- A proactive, autonomous, and organized individual with adaptability to changes and unforeseen events.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and partners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent writing quality, spelling, and grammar.
- Native French speaker with strong proficiency in English; German is a plus.
