Job Description

We are looking for a Product Manager for our Automotive Digital Marketplace, specifically focused on enhancing the professional buyer (dealer) experience. In this role, you will oversee the product lifecycle, delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions that enable professional buyers to confidently and efficiently source inventory. Your contributions will significantly influence their interaction with our products and drive business growth.

About the Role

Our AutoScout24 and MotoScout24 brands are among the foremost Swiss marketplaces for listing and searching motor vehicles, attracting thousands of users daily. In this capacity, you will be responsible for enhancing the experience for professional dealers sourcing vehicles on our platforms. Your aim will be to streamline the sourcing process, ensuring it is fast, clear, and frictionless by focusing on buyer tasks and removing barriers throughout their journey. Translating insights from research and data into a focused roadmap, you will align stakeholders and lead a cross-functional team towards iterative product launches. Success is defined by delivering meaningful outcomes for our customers and the business, enabling dealers to find the right stock, evaluate confidently, and finish purchases seamlessly.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead a cross-functional scrum team to deliver products that are viable, valuable, usable, and feasible.
  • Shape the vision, strategy, and KPIs for the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with user experience improvements.
  • Manage the product roadmap and lifecycle, utilizing market trends and product metrics to prioritize high-value initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders—business, technical teams, and customers—integrating various perspectives into product development.
  • Gain insights into customer needs through research and direct interactions, identifying opportunities for enhancing usability and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with your team to develop and deliver innovative solutions that improve the customer experience, from initial vehicle discovery to final purchase decisions.
  • Evaluate product success using quantitative and qualitative metrics, including beta testing and post-launch reviews.
  • Maintain product quality through ownership of data accuracy, process efficiency, and high standards in each release.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring to the Ride:

  • Fluency in German and English (mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related fields
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a successful track record in launching impactful products, preferably in automotive, e-commerce, or similar digital sectors
  • Expertise in mobile app and/or web platform product development, ideally within a marketplace environment
  • Proficient in working with cross-functional teams (UX/UI designers, engineers, marketing teams) and managing dispersed teams
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis to inform product decisions; familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven management is a plus
  • Ability to clearly communicate product decisions and their rationale, making independent decisions while supporting team collaboration
  • Skill in building strong, collaborative relationships across teams and hierarchies
  • Ownership mentality: Willingness to take responsibility for delivering business and product outcomes in collaboration with stakeholders
