Join us as a Product Manager for the Automotive Digital Marketplace, where you will focus on enhancing the professional buyer (dealer) experience. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the product lifecycle, delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions that empower professional buyers to source inventory efficiently and confidently, significantly shaping their interaction with our products while driving business growth.
About the Role
Our AutoScout24 and MotoScout24 brands are among the leading Swiss marketplaces for listing and searching motor vehicles, connecting with thousands of users daily. In this role, you will take ownership of the experience for professional dealers when sourcing vehicles on our platforms.
Your mission is to streamline the sourcing process, making it fast, clear, and low-friction by championing the buyer's jobs-to-be-done and eliminating obstacles throughout the journey. By transforming insights from research and data into a focused roadmap, you will align stakeholders and lead a cross-functional team to deliver iteratively. Success will be defined by the meaningful outcomes we provide to our customers and the business, by assisting dealers in finding the right stock, evaluating with confidence, and ensuring smooth purchases.
What You Will Be Doing
Your primary responsibility will be to lead a cross-functional scrum team to deliver products that are viable, valuable, usable, and feasible. Key responsibilities include:
- Shape the vision, strategy, and KPIs for the product portfolio, ensuring product decisions enhance the overall user experience for our customers.
- Manage the product roadmap and lifecycle by leveraging market trends, product metrics, and international benchmarks to prioritize impactful projects.
- Act as a bridge between stakeholders, including business and technical teams, to incorporate diverse perspectives into product development.
- Understand customer needs through research and direct interaction with buyers and sellers, identifying opportunities to enhance usability and satisfaction throughout the customer journey.
- Collaborate with your team to envision and deliver innovative solutions that enrich the customer experience from initial vehicle discovery to final purchase decisions.
- Evaluate product success using both quantitative and qualitative metrics, including beta testing and post-launch reviews, to ensure solutions meet customer needs and drive business results.
- Maintain product quality by overseeing data accuracy, process efficiency, and high standards in each release.
Qualifications
What will you bring to the ride?
- Fluent in German and English (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related fields.
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a proven record of launching impactful products, ideally in automotive, e-commerce, or similar digital sectors.
- Expertise in mobile app and/or web platform product development, ideally within a marketplace setting.
- Strong experience working with cross-functional teams (UX/UI designers, engineers, marketing teams) and managing distributed teams.
- Proficiency in analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions; familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven product management is a plus.
- Ability to clearly communicate product decisions and their rationale, and to make decisions independently while supporting team decision-making.
- Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across teams and hierarchies.
- Ownership mentality: Eager to take accountability for delivering business and product outcomes by collaborating with stakeholders.
