Location: Schaffhausen, Switzerland

As a Product Development Engineer, you will spearhead the design and development of innovative solutions and oversee technical activities throughout the product lifecycle, focusing on performance optimization, design improvements, and problem-solving for assigned components. As an expert in this field, you will contribute to our mission of "Excellence in Flow."

Your Tasks

  • Develop innovative products and production technologies in close collaboration with Product Management, based on customer feedback and product specifications, balancing function, quality, time, and cost.
  • Take ownership of and continuously improve the assigned product range; support Product Management, production sites, and Sales in product-specific matters.
  • Create detailed mechanical designs with assistance from design engineers and CAx experts; experience with CAD-NX is an advantage.
  • Ensure product quality using modern testing technologies, analyze test data, and implement findings in the final product to meet all technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Release products and technical documentation in accordance with our development process.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders across departments.

Your Profile

  • A bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on plastic technology or equivalent.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience as a product development engineer, ideally in the field of valves within the plastics processing industry.
  • Experience in independently managing technical projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize complex information and present it understandably.
  • Proficient in spoken and written German and English.
