AI Product Architect - Contract

Location: Cambridge - 3 days per week onsite

Contract: 6 months / Outside IR35

We are seeking an experienced AI Product Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale AI products within a highly advanced AI environment. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who has designed and launched multiple AI products and possesses extensive experience in evaluating various Large Language Models (LLMs) to determine the best fit for each business solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the architecture and technical roadmap for enterprise AI products.
  • Translate business requirements into secure, scalable AI solutions.
  • Design Agentic AI and multi-agent workflows using LangGraph.
  • Evaluate and compare different LLMs based on accuracy, quality, hallucination risk, speed, cost, and security.
  • Recommend the most appropriate LLM for each AI product and use case.
  • Architect and deploy AI solutions using AWS.
  • Establish architecture standards, governance, and responsible AI controls.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, data, security, and business teams.
  • Communicate technical decisions clearly to senior and non-technical stakeholders.

Mandatory Experience

  • Approximately 3+ years of strong commercial AI/Generative AI experience.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple LLMs such as Claude, GPT, Copilot, Gemini, or Llama.
  • Proven experience evaluating, benchmarking, and selecting LLMs for various AI solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Agentic AI and multi-agent architecture.
  • Experience with LangGraph.
  • Robust AWS AI architecture experience, ideally including Bedrock and SageMaker.
  • A proven track record of successfully bringing multiple enterprise AI products into production.
  • Experience designing secure, scalable, and governed solutions within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Cambridge three days per week.

Additional Beneficial Experience

  • Familiarity with LangChain, RAG, MCP, graph databases, LLMOps, AI governance, and ServiceNow AI would be advantageous.
