Procurement Manager - Manufacturing

A leading international manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead its UK procurement function. The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the procurement strategy across the UK business, ensuring a resilient and cost-effective supply of materials, goods, and services.

Working closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams, you will:

  • Lead supplier negotiations and manage strategic supplier relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, service, and supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead supplier sourcing, selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
  • Deliver measurable cost reduction and value improvement initiatives.
  • Manage supply chain risk and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Drive procurement best practice, compliance, and purchasing governance.
  • Lead digital procurement initiatives and improve reporting through data-driven decision making.
  • Manage and develop the purchasing team while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a commercially minded procurement professional with experience leading procurement activities within a manufacturing environment. Ideally, you will have:

  • A minimum of five years' procurement or supply chain experience.
  • Proven success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Experience delivering cost savings and continuous improvement programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Degree educated (or equivalent experience).
  • CIPS qualification, or be working towards MCIPS.
