Novamem AG, based in Schlieren ZH, is a dynamic spin-off from ETH Zurich and a leading manufacturer of membranes and filters crafted from high-performance polymers. With our revolutionary slash/technology, we are redefining standards in water treatment and pioneering the development of separators for renewable energy applications. We are looking to strengthen our team as of 01.04.2026 or by arrangement.
Position: Process or Lab Technician (80-100%) (m/f/d)
What You Can Expect:
- You will be an integral part of our development and pilot production team, where no day will be the same.
- Your primary responsibility will be the preparation of polymer solutions based on defined formulations at both laboratory and pilot scales.
- You will conduct membrane coating and processing experiments, as well as operate our coating and pilot equipment.
- You will prepare polymer solutions ranging from small laboratory batches to larger pilot-scale batches (up to approximately 100 kg).
- You will perform tests for membrane performance and water filtration characterization.
- You will document and evaluate results, supporting the team in optimizing formulations and coating processes.
- You will assist in maintaining our laboratory and pilot infrastructure, ensuring that equipment and analytical tools remain functional and well-organized.
- Your observations and results will be shared regularly with the R&D and process development teams.
What You Bring:
- A completed apprenticeship in the chemical sector, such as chemical laboratory technician EFZ, chemical technologist EFZ, or a comparable practical background in chemical production.
- Experience with chemical formulations, polymer solutions, or process equipment is an advantage.
- A passion for hands-on work and practical problem-solving.
- A strong awareness of safety, quality, and reproducible processes.
- Proficiency in German (both written and spoken) and the ability to communicate in English.
