Position Overview
At our location in Visp, in the canton of Valais, we are currently looking for a Process Expert MSAT Downstream - Mammalian Large Scale to support our growth across various business units.
The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.
What You’ll Do
- Lead cross-functional teams as a process expert focused on technology transfers, process design, and timely process implementation at manufacturing scale.
- Serve as the interface between the process donor (customer, process development) and operations, ensuring process scalability and manufacturability.
- Secure success during technology transfers by applying formal processes and tools to manage information transfer, process-related risks, and change control.
- Resolve process issues that may arise during manufacturing while considering all regulatory requirements.
- Execute GMP risk analysis for the manufacturing processes.
- Act as the MSAT process expert in capital investment projects for manufacturing units, delivering required inputs such as block-flow diagrams and critical parameter lists.
- Implement the manufacturing process within the plant.
- Directly interact with customers during tech transfers, campaign preparations, execution, and closure, including daily reporting of batch status and performance.
- Ensure timely compilation of process-related deviations, change requests, and campaign reports.
- Compile CMC sections in filing documents and the technical content of validation reports.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of standardized MSAT procedures and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement of process performance.
- Supervise tasks related to local and global MSAT initiatives or lead major task forces or troubleshooting teams.
- Evaluate and drive innovative trends within your area of expertise.
- Act as a mentor for scientific and production staff across different fields of expertise.
- Conduct process-specific training for production staff.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; PhD preferred
- Field of study: Biotechnology, chemical engineering, or related disciplines
- At least 5 years of experience in biopharma manufacturing and/or process development, preferably in Mammalian Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of GMP and bioprocess technology
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is advantageous
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities
- Highly organized with a structured working attitude
- Open-minded towards new ideas and solutions
- Agile, motivated, and dynamic
