We are looking to strengthen our team in Switzerland (Baden) with your expertise and experience as a:
Process Control & Application Engineer (m/f)
Your primary responsibility will be to design, enhance, and configure process control, monitoring, and protection solutions for gas turbines used in power generation applications. You will focus on engineering the gas turbine control and safety application concepts while supporting their implementation by the gas turbine control system supplier.
Your Tasks
- Establish, iterate, and consolidate gas turbine operational requirements in collaboration with the component design teams.
- Facilitate the integration of associated power train systems.
- Design new and improve existing control, automation, and protection concepts.
- Establish and maintain engineering guidelines for the gas turbine application and the Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
- Specify the configuration and customization of the gas turbine application according to project and customer specifications.
- Support and monitor the implementation process by the gas turbine control system supplier.
- Prepare, conduct, and evaluate functional verification and acceptance tests in software/hardware-in-the-loop test environments.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance during commissioning and operation.
Your Profile
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional experience in the power generation or process industry.
- Strong background in controls and automation.
- Knowledge of industrial control system platforms and engineering environments.
- Familiarity with dynamic process modelling, simulation, and associated tools.
- Experience in gas turbine control and operation is a plus.
- Proactive team player with a structured and autonomous working style, good communication skills, and a strong drive to deliver results.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an advantage, and knowledge of Italian is a plus.
