Your role will involve a range of responsibilities that are crucial to the success of our operations:
- Optimization, further development, and support of core applications, including POS solutions and SAP CAR (module POSDTA).
- Conception, evaluation, and prioritization of requirements and change requests.
- Ensuring technical implementations, including test management, and supporting smooth transitions into productive operations.
- Analysis and optimization of existing business processes.
- Providing 2nd level support, including error analysis, issue resolution, and documentation.
- Supporting additional retail-related applications such as ESL, self-checkout systems, and composite scales.
- Acting as a liaison between application competence teams, business stakeholders, IT departments, software vendors, and other relevant internal and external partners.
- Close collaboration with related specialist departments such as POS support and digital development teams.
- Coordination and management of external IT service providers.
- Participation in IT projects and sub-projects.
Achieving the Difference Requires
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Completed vocational training with further education in business informatics (FH/HF) or a comparable business or IT-related qualification.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in business informatics within retail and/or POS application operations.
- A strong understanding of POS-related business processes.
- Familiarity with technologies and concepts such as ESL, composite scales, and self-checkout systems; knowledge of SAP (ECC/S4) and SAP CAR (POSDTA) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- A willingness to collaborate with stakeholders from business departments, IT, and external partners.
- Excellent communication skills, a strong customer orientation, and assertiveness.
