Summary

We are seeking an experienced dosimetrist enthusiastic about advancing drug discovery and development through rigorous decision-making in dosimetry, analysis, and modeling & simulation. This role presents an opportunity to engage in diverse projects across various phases of drug development while working within a multidisciplinary environment.

This position reports to a team lead in the PK Sciences Translational Modeling group, which is part of Biomedical Research—the research engine of Novartis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement dosimetry workflows during the planning and execution of RLT clinical trials, collaborating closely with PKS sub-teams and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide solutions to dosimetry-related challenges faced by clinical study teams.
  • Prepare and submit reports on translational and clinical dosimetry data.
  • Integrate cutting-edge dosimetry principles in collaboration with modelers and PK scientists.
  • Contribute to retrospective analyses of imaging, dosimetry, safety, and efficacy data within cross-functional analytical teams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the visibility and impact of the Modeling & Simulation group and the RLT platform through effective communication with internal and external audiences.
  • Serve as a dosimetry and modeling & simulation subject area expert, supporting PK Sciences and Biomedical Research and Development initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Physics, Medical Imaging, Medical Physics, Radiophysics, or a related field with over 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Certification as a medical dosimetrist is preferred.
  • Expertise in radiopharmaceutical/internal dosimetry using MIRD-based and voxel-based dosimetry software.
  • Proven ability to communicate dosimetry and/or modeling results effectively to a multidisciplinary audience to facilitate decision-making.
  • Fluency in English (both oral and written).
