About Us

We have just moved into our award-winning, ecologically designed campus and are situated in the heart of the Rheintal, in Buchs. As a 'small and mighty' not-for-profit international school, we offer a supportive environment in a thriving school community of 200 students and over 50 staff members. As an International Baccalaureate World School, we provide a full international education in English for students aged 3-19. In 2020, we were ranked 9th in Switzerland for our IBDP results and among the top 50 in Europe.

Due to continued growth, the International School Rheintal is seeking to recruit a dedicated and impactful Primary Years Programme (PYP) teacher. We are a community IB international school located in a beautiful region of Switzerland, equipped with our new award-winning campus. The successful candidate will join our diverse team of dedicated and experienced international school teachers in our age 3-19 school.

We are looking for enthusiastic educators who bring a fun, rigorous, and inclusive approach to teaching and learning within the primary years. A strong background in language teaching for both English home language speakers and English language learners is essential, along with a commitment to an inquiry-led approach that brings learning alive in and beyond the classroom.

Your Profile

Successful candidates should demonstrate a rigorous and inclusive approach to teaching and learning within the primary years. A strong background in language teaching for both English home language and English language learners, as well as a commitment to an inquiry-led approach, is crucial. We are seeking passionate practitioners who embody the IB philosophy and are eager to grow continuously in their professional journey.

We are seeking teachers who:

Are qualified primary years teachers with a minimum of three years teaching experience and, at minimum, a bachelor's degree.
Have significant experience and expertise in teaching at the primary phase.
Are willing to go the extra mile to design and deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences.
Promote a well-organized, inspiring, and inquiry-led learning environment.
Exhibit enthusiasm and demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and inclusive approach to students, colleagues, and the wider community.
Possess an international mindset and commitment to the IB philosophy.
Are confident in integrating technology into teaching and learning for improved student outcomes.
Are dedicated to continual improvement.
