As a small but highly-regarded not-for-profit international school, we provide a supportive environment within a thriving school community of 185 students and over 45 staff members. Our school is an International Baccalaureate World School, offering a comprehensive international education in English for students aged 3-19. In 2020, we were ranked 9th in Switzerland for our IBDP results and in the top 50 in Europe.

Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teachers Wanted

International School Rheintal is currently seeking dedicated and impactful Primary Years Programme (PYP) teachers to join our team. Situated in a beautiful region of Switzerland, our community-focused IB international school boasts a new, award-winning campus. Your Profile

We are seeking candidates who bring a rigorous and inclusive approach to teaching and learning in the primary years. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in language teaching for English home language and English language learners, as well as a commitment to an inquiry-led approach. The ability to inspire and engage students both inside and outside of the classroom is essential.

We are looking for educators who have experience with, or align with, the IB approach. A thirst for learning and professional development is a must in our school. We prioritize individualized professional learning. We seek teachers who are committed to a student-initiated, inquiry-led approach to teaching and learning, and who recognize the value of direct teaching instruction, backed by research evidence, such as systematic synthetic phonics.

We are seeking teachers who:

• Hold a minimum of three years teaching experience and a bachelor's degree
• Demonstrate significant expertise in primary phase teaching
• Go the extra mile to design and deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences
• Promote a well-organized, inspiring, and inquiry-led learning environment
• Show enthusiasm, empathy, and inclusivity towards students, colleagues, and the wider community
• Embrace international-mindedness and are committed to the IB philosophy and approach
• Confidently integrate technology into teaching and learning to enhance student outcomes
• Are dedicated to continual improvement
• Engage with and contribute to the full life of the school
