Job Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Drive the pricing process by independently managing and executing all operational pricing activities, ensuring continuous communication between the Intraday Trading team, Sales & Origination, and the Structuring desk for seamless customer support.
- Implement adaptations for existing pricing tools and develop market-specific pricing tool solutions for the pricing of third-party assets.
- Perform continuous portfolio monitoring and reporting to internal stakeholders, including ad-hoc and risk management reporting.
- Conduct quantitative portfolio analyses to assess risks, identify new business opportunities, and define new pricing strategies in collaboration with the Trading team and Sales & Origination to optimize revenue and market share.
- Provide ongoing input to reduce manual workload within existing processes and ensure business scalability for Alpiq’s ambitions in Europe.
Your Profile
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Ideally 3–5 years of professional experience in energy markets.
- Strong knowledge of European energy markets, with emphasis on direct marketing and power trading in Germany.
- Analytical mindset with proven experience in quantitative finance and statistics.
- Advanced programming skills in Python and proficiency in databases, SQL, and Power BI.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and counterparties.
- Fluency in English; German is a strong plus. Knowledge of French, Swedish, Norwegian, or Finnish is an advantage.
