We invite you to apply for a postdoctoral position at the Transdisciplinarity-Lab (TdLab) within the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zürich. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing stakeholder engagement for the NCCR CLIM+.
This postdoctoral position is a vital component of the newly established National Competence Centre in Research NCCR CLIM+. The NCCR CLIM+ initiative supports Switzerland's transformation towards a climate-resilient society while training a new generation of experts with robust disciplinary and transdisciplinary expertise. This project offers the chance to collaborate with leading experts in atmospheric and climate science, both within the NCCR CLIM+ and ETH Zurich.
Within the NCCR CLIM+, storylines are essential for achieving actionable knowledge and cross-disciplinary communication. Storylines consist of scientifically grounded narratives that depict plausible futures and extreme climate scenarios across physical and social dimensions. Your responsibilities will include embedding these storylines within their societal contexts.
For each storyline, you will:
You are encouraged to advance transdisciplinary methods and theories and share your achievements through presentations and publications.
This position is initially for three years, with the possibility of extension. The starting date is as soon as possible.
Generally, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers at ETH Zurich hold full-time employment, though part-time arrangements may be considered in exceptional circumstances (e.g., family caregiving responsibilities).
