Postdoctoral Researcher in Functional Materials for Sensing Technology in E-Textiles

Location: Zurich, 100%, fixed-term

Project Background

You will be at the forefront of creating new materials, sensors, techniques, and methodologies for health-related wearables. We seek an individual who can think outside the box and identify complementary technologies and applications. Job Description

We expect you to:

  • Stay current with relevant literature to identify novel research avenues
  • Generate high-quality publications
  • Regularly propose and present new ideas to Prof. Menon and the research group
  • Plan, execute, and communicate your research independently
  • Continue and expand ongoing projects with support from students
  • Receive full backing from Prof. Menon and ETH Zurich for research with innovation potential
  • Assist in grant writing
  • Train BSc/MSc students while supporting the lab in achieving its research goals and adhering to prescribed protocols

We encourage growth as a scientist and academic, aiming to publish impactful peer-reviewed articles and develop patents for commercialization. You will dedicate about 30% of your time to teaching and resource management within the lab.
