Your Responsibilities

The postdoctoral researcher will play a crucial role in project management. They will assist the principal investigator with a variety of research tasks, including:

  • Managing the translation of the questionnaire
  • Programming the survey
  • Providing feedback on pre-registrations by the subgroups
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Preparing and analyzing data
  • Facilitating workshops in Zurich

Additionally, the postdoctoral researcher will engage in outreach activities, such as writing descriptive summary reports. They will also take the lead on several manuscripts and contribute to a meta-science manuscript aimed at enhancing global science initiatives. Opportunities for collaboration with leading scholars on specific subtopics within the broader project will provide international experience through partnerships with prominent figures in the fields of Social Psychology, Health Research, and Public Policy. Presenting their work at international scientific conferences will also be a crucial part of the role. The postdoctoral researcher will co-author at least one manuscript with a PhD student, assuming a supervisory role to develop their mentoring skills while co-supervising the student alongside the principal investigator.

Your Profile

  • PhD degree or equivalent in (Social or Clinical) Psychology or a related field
  • Strong interest in psychological research and LGBTIQ+ research
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Project management skills
  • Experience with quantitative research methods and statistical analysis (e.g., R)
  • Knowledge of qualitative research methods is a plus
  • Very good written and spoken English; knowledge of or willingness to acquire German
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Supervision experiences are a plus
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in and connection to the LGBTIQ+ community
