Your Responsibilities

The postdoc will pursue their own research in the area of digital democracy, focusing on the digital transformation of politics. The research group also emphasizes computational social science and is part of the Digital Society Initiative, the university's competence center on digitalization.

• Conduct research in digital democracy and its implications for politics.
• Contribute to teaching in digital democracy, political behavior, political communication, or applied methods (averaging 1.5 classes per semester).
• Advise BA and MA students.
• Assist with various administrative tasks.
• Collaborate on research projects within the research group and department.

Your Profile

• PhD in political science, computational social science, or a closely related discipline.
• Interest in political behavior, political communication, and the research of digital democracy, particularly the effects of digitalization on politics.
• Excellent knowledge of quantitative methods/computational social science with a desire to further develop methodological skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Creative, open-minded, and curious.
