Your Responsibilities

The postdoctoral researcher will engage in independent research focusing on digital democracy, specifically investigating the digital transformation of politics. This position also contributes to the research group's interest in computational social science, which is part of the Digital Society Initiative, the university's center for expertise in digitalization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting research related to digital democracy and its implications for politics.
• Teaching courses in digital democracy, political behavior, political communication, or applied methods (approximately 1.5 classes per semester).
• Advising students at the Bachelor's and Master's levels.
• Performing administrative tasks as needed.
• Collaborating on ongoing research projects within the group and department.

Your Profile

• PhD in political science, computational social science, or a closely related discipline.
• Interest in political behavior, political communication, and the impacts of digitalization on politics.
• Strong proficiency in quantitative methods and computational social science, with a desire to further enhance methodological skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Fluent command of English.
• Creativity, open-mindedness, and a curious mindset.
