Your Responsibilities

The postdoctoral researcher will focus on their own research in the area of digital democracy, specifically the digital transformation of politics. Additionally, the research group has a significant interest in computational social science and is part of the Digital Society Initiative, the university's center of expertise on digitalization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Pursuing independent research related to digital democracy
• Contributing to teaching efforts in the fields of digital democracy, political behavior, political communication, or applied methods (approximately 1.5 classes per semester)
• Advising BA and MA students
• Handling some administrative tasks
• Collaborating on ongoing research projects within the group and department

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• PhD in political science, computational social science, or a closely related discipline
• Interest in political behavior, political communication, and research on digital democracy, particularly the effects of digitalization on politics
• Strong knowledge of quantitative methods and computational social science, along with a desire to further develop methodological skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in English
• Creativity, open-mindedness, and a curious mindset
