Are you an expert in applied electronics and signal processing? Are you passionate about conducting research that could transform electronic textiles (e-textiles)? This exciting opportunity invites you to explore innovative solutions in areas such as movement tracking, ultrasound imaging, e-textile-based photoplethysmography (PPG) sensing, and multi-modal signal monitoring, including respiration monitoring for applications in sports and health.

Project Background

Your research will aim to conceive and design groundbreaking solutions for monitoring individual health. You will focus on developing new electronics, algorithms, and methods to assist individuals, physicians, and sports coaches in continuously and effortlessly tracking health biomarkers. Job Description

We expect you to:

  • Stay updated with relevant literature to identify new research avenues.
  • Generate high-quality publications.
  • Regularly explore and present new ideas to Prof. Menon and the research group.
  • Work independently in planning, executing, and communicating your research.
  • Manage small pilot studies where data collection may be required.
  • Strengthen relationships with collaborators and explore opportunities for new studies.
  • Apply for ethics approvals as needed.
  • Participate actively in grant writing efforts.
  • Train BSc/MSc students while assisting the lab in attaining its research goals.
  • Understand that approximately 30% of your time will be spent supporting the lab in teaching (BSc/MSc-level courses related to electric circuits and bio-signal processing) and managing resources.
