Your Tasks
  • Modify and enhance an existing thermal shock testing system to incorporate a mechanical loading component that simulates internal pressure.
  • Design and conduct thermal shock laboratory experiments that replicate specific loading conditions found in a nuclear reactor pressure vessel.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results within the framework of nuclear safety criteria as outlined in international standards, which may include finite element analyses.
  • Publish findings in scientific journals and present at international conferences.
  • Collaborate on other service tasks and international projects.

Your Profile

You hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and possess a robust background in mechanical testing of materials. Proficient English communication skills are essential, while knowledge of German is a valuable asset.
