Postdoctoral Fellow / Postdoctoral Fellowess in Scattering Analysis of PEFCs

Your Tasks

We are seeking a Project Scientist to focus on small angle scattering characterization of low temperature fuel cells. The key responsibilities include:

• Characterization of the catalyst layer ionomer morphology (ex-situ) and liquid water therein (operando) using small angle X-ray and neutron scattering.
• Planning, executing, analyzing, and interpreting experiments at scattering instruments, including lab-based setups, neutron, and synchrotron facilities.
• Improving data interpretation tools and operando setups as necessary.
• Analyzing and visualizing scattering data.
• Disseminating results through presentations and publications in international conferences and journals.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A PhD degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of electrochemical processes in PEM fuel cells and the properties of porous materials.
• Experience in microstructural analysis and microscopy.
• Familiarity with scattering or imaging techniques is a plus.
• Proficient programming skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills, including advanced writing abilities in English.
• A proven ability to integrate seamlessly into an interdisciplinary research team.
