Your Tasks
- Investigate mineralized biological tissue (such as bone) using small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) tensor tomography.
- Develop correlative multi-scale analysis pipelines integrating SAXS tensor tomography, high-resolution X-ray tomography, and complementary electron microscopy data, in collaboration with microscopy experts.
- Plan, perform, and analyze experiments at the cSAXS beamline, contributing to improvements in experimental control and automation.
- Participate in user support at the cSAXS beamline.
- Publish results in scientific journals and present findings at international conferences.
Your Profile
- PhD degree in physics or a similar natural science discipline, signal/image processing, or engineering.
- Interest in interdisciplinary research at the interface of biology, computational tools, and X-ray methods.
- Experience with experiments at large-scale user facilities (e.g., synchrotrons or neutron sources) and scientific programming in Python are considered assets.
- Motivation to work hands-on at the beamline and contribute to user support activities.
