Your Tasks

  • Conduct research on the theory of angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES).
  • Implement new methods and enhance open-source scientific software within the group.
  • Perform first-principles simulations of ARPES for materials relevant to orbitronics.
  • Identify fingerprints of orbital angular momentum.
  • Discover promising materials for orbitronics applications.
  • Collaborate with experimental groups.
  • Support research and teaching activities as needed.

Your Profile

  • A PhD degree in Physics or a closely related field.
  • A strong background in theoretical condensed matter physics or related disciplines.
  • Basic knowledge of photoemission spectroscopy or related techniques.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of first-principles simulations of materials based on DFT.
  • Proficient programming skills in Fortran and Python.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with both theoretical and experimental partners is essential.
