Your Tasks

• Analyze severe accident scenarios in a non-electric nuclear reactor using MELCOR code; develop the input model, conduct sensitivity analysis, and analyze the results.
• Examine the liquid source term from a severe accident using MELCOR code.
• Develop representations of liquid source terms in severe accident analysis through thermodynamic calculations or derived results.
• Present research findings at project meetings, as peer-reviewed publications, conference participations, and in the preparation of technical reports.

Your Profile

We are seeking a candidate with a PhD in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering, physics, chemistry, or other natural sciences. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in nuclear engineering, particularly in severe accident analysis. Experience with severe accident analysis codes, especially MELCOR, is highly advantageous. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, and knowledge of German would be beneficial.
