Your Tasks

• Analyze severe accident scenarios in a non-electric nuclear reactor using MELCOR code; develop the input model, conduct sensitivity analyses, and evaluate the results.
• Examine the liquid source term from a severe accident using MELCOR code.
• Develop representations of the liquid source term in severe accident analysis through thermodynamic calculations or results derived from them.
• Present research results in project meetings, peer-reviewed publications, conference participations, and technical reports.

Your Profile

We are seeking a candidate with a PhD degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or other natural sciences. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in nuclear engineering, particularly in severe accident analysis. Experience with severe accident analysis codes, especially MELCOR, is highly advantageous. Fluency in spoken and written English is required, and proficiency in German would be beneficial.
