Your Tasks
  • Analyze severe accident scenarios in a non-electric nuclear reactor using MELCOR code, including the development of the input model, sensitivity analysis, and results analysis.
  • Evaluate the liquid source term from a severe accident using MELCOR code.
  • Develop a representation of the liquid source term in severe accident analysis utilizing thermodynamic calculations or derived results.
  • Present research findings in project meetings, peer-reviewed publications, conference participations, and prepare technical reports.

Your Profile

We are seeking a candidate with a PhD degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or another natural science. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in nuclear engineering, particularly in severe accident analysis. Experience with severe accident analysis codes, especially MELCOR, will be advantageous. Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential, and knowledge of German would be beneficial.
