Your Tasks

• Analyze severe accident scenarios in a non-electric nuclear reactor using the MELCOR code; develop the input model, conduct sensitivity analyses, and evaluate the results.
• Examine the liquid source term from a severe accident employing the MELCOR code.
• Develop a representation of the liquid source term in severe accident analysis utilizing thermodynamic calculations or derived results.
• Present research findings during project meetings, contribute to peer-reviewed publications, participate in conferences, and prepare technical reports.

Your Profile

We are seeking a candidate with a Ph.D. in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or other natural sciences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nuclear engineering, with a preference for experience in severe accident analysis. Familiarity with severe accident analysis codes, particularly MELCOR, will be advantageous. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required, while knowledge of German would be beneficial.
