The Development Economics Group (ETH-DEC) at ETH Zurich is pleased to announce an opening for a PostDoc position in Development Economics. This role comprises 60% dedicated to independent research and 40% focused on research management, which includes overseeing, supporting, and contributing to ongoing research projects within the group.

We are an international team of dedicated economists and data scientists committed to analyzing global inequalities and contributing to meaningful development solutions. Our research group collaborates closely with NADEL, a multidisciplinary team tasked with educating future leaders in global cooperation and development, and ETH4D, an initiative that connects researchers with civil society, NGOs, governments, and industry to drive innovations that serve the global community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting high-quality research aligned with the group's objectives. Additionally, the candidate will mentor 1-2 PhD students and assist with both ongoing and future research projects, including data analysis, writing, project management, proposal drafting, and communication support. The candidate will collaborate closely with Prof. Isabel Günther. While teaching is encouraged, it is not mandatory.

Experience with RCTs and primary data collection is a plus but not required. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French or German is advantageous but not compulsory.
