Principal Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Propose investment opportunities to the Senior Portfolio Manager.
- Independently manage Global TMT-focused investment portfolios.
- Serve as the lead analyst on Global Telecoms, Global Media, and US Internet sectors.
- Engage with sell-side research, industry participants, and company representatives to screen investment ideas and facilitate information flow.
- Review and analyze research materials on companies, sectors, and economic trends.
- Perform industry and sector analysis.
- Monitor markets effectively.
- Gather market data and prepare screens to track and analyze trends in stocks.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement timely market opportunities and trading strategies to enhance P&L.
Qualifications/Skills Required
Candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or above in an analytical subject (such as Accounting or Finance).
- Experience working in a global buy-side investment firm is essential.
- Demonstrated track record managing equity long/short strategy in a market-neutral environment.
- Extensive experience in trading Global TMT Equities is a must.
- Advanced financial modeling and data analysis capabilities are essential.
- Familiarity with Advanced Bloomberg is preferred.
- CFA qualification is preferred.
- Buy-side experience in managing investment portfolios is essential.
- Proficiency in building and managing risk analysis tools for portfolio optimization independently.
- A quick learner with great attention to detail, thoroughness, and a strong sense of ownership of work.
- Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, high-pressure, and constantly changing environment.
- Exhibit a high sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills.
