PLC PROGRAMMER / AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Located at our headquarters in Urdorf (Zurich), Switzerland, our engineers are dedicated to innovating next-generation technologies that transform how biopharma digitizes and automates bioprocess development. Our vision is to maintain our leading position and distinguish ourselves significantly from other bioprocess software applications and automated sampling systems.

YOUR TASKS

• Define technical requirements for automation solutions for customer projects and internal applications.
• Create PLC programs with visualization (Siemens S7 / WinCC).
• Conduct risk analyses, develop test plans, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
• Parameterize and commission electrical components (e.g., PLC controllers, frequency converters, measuring transmitters, PID controllers) both in-house and on-site at customer locations, including training (approximately 10% travel required).
• Troubleshoot and provide support services.

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed basic education in electrical engineering, automation, or mechatronics with significant experience in PLC programming. A qualification in automation technology at FH or HF level is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of control engineering and PLC programming.
• Excellent proficiency in STEP 7 and WinCC (classic and TIA Portal), programming in AWL, SCL, and Graph-7.
• Experience in bioprocess automation and project management is a plus.
• Fluent in German, both spoken and written; proficiency in English is an advantage.
• Independent and responsible work ethic.
• Possession of a valid work permit.
