Platform Engineer - AWS | EKS | Terraform
RED Global is proud to support a leading European organization that is undergoing significant growth in its cloud platform. We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team on a fully remote basis.
This hands-on role focuses on building and enhancing internal platforms, cloud infrastructure, automation tooling, and developer enablement capabilities. You will work within a modern AWS environment, assisting engineering teams in deploying and operating services at scale.
Project Details:
- Role: Platform Engineer
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months + potential extension
- Location: Europe (Fully remote)
Key Skills Required:
- Strong commercial experience with AWS
- Proven experience building and operating Amazon EKS environments
- Advanced Terraform expertise, including reusable modules and production-grade infrastructure
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or similar
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of serverless and event-driven AWS services such as:
- Lambda
- SQS
- SNS
- EventBridge
- API Gateway
- DynamoDB
- AWS networking, security, and IAM experience
- Ability to troubleshoot across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and deployment pipelines
Desirable Skills:
- AWS Organizations and multi-account environments
- Enterprise-scale platform engineering experience
- Security, governance, and compliance exposure
- Hybrid cloud or on-premise infrastructure experience
- Experience in the media, broadcasting, or digital content industry
