Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a stable day-to-day operation of the Discover Airlines data platform, aligned with Lufthansa Group standards to support streamlined use case development.
- Propose improvements to the platform and establish best practices for data engineering and DevOps.
- Design, implement, and operate Data & Analytics solutions within a DevOps/DataOps environment, maximizing the use of the data platform.
- Collaborate with various departments to prioritize and implement use cases, ranging from data retrieval and pipeline development to dashboard creation for enhanced insights and data-driven decision-making.
- Assist colleagues with ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Engage with colleagues across the Lufthansa Group to discuss group-wide solutions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, physics, engineering, or a related field, with several years of relevant professional experience.
- Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining analytics platforms is ideal.
- Solid knowledge of DevOps principles and data engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms, preferably on Azure (e.g., Databricks, Data Factory).
- Strong expertise in Python programming.
- Practical experience with PySpark and SQL.
- Familiarity with end-to-end delivery of data and analytics projects.
- Experience with data visualization and/or simulation tools (e.g., Tableau, IBM Planning Analytics).
- Familiarity with the aviation industry is a plus.
- An agile, pragmatic mindset combined with a hands-on working style.
- Fluency in both English and German.
