Techfirm Engineering is seeking a Plant Engineer — HVAC & Utilities (m/f/d) to join its Industrial Services team in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

What You Will Do
As a Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing HVAC and building utilities across an industrial site, ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of critical infrastructure systems. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support to operations teams on HVAC and building utilities topics.
- Troubleshooting issues related to ventilation systems, air handling, and qualified rooms.
- Supporting the operation and optimization of HVAC infrastructure and controlled environments (GMP / storage / temperature-controlled zones).
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) interface with System Owners and maintenance teams.
- Supporting building utilities systems including:
- Heating systems
- Drinking water systems
- Wastewater & industrial wastewater systems
- Fire water systems
- Contributing to small CAPEX and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Participating in lifecycle management and maintenance strategy definition.
- Ensuring prioritization and resolution of operational infrastructure issues across the site.
What We Are Looking For
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in HVAC, building utilities, or industrial infrastructure.
- A background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated industrial environments is highly valuable.
- Strong exposure to HVAC systems, ventilation, and utility networks.
- An understanding of GMP / qualified environments (clean rooms, controlled storage areas) is a strong plus.
- Experience in troubleshooting and operational support roles (Plant/Utility/Facility Engineering).
- Strong German language skills (mandatory).
- A hands-on, pragmatic, and structured mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- The ability to quickly learn new systems; deep prior knowledge of all systems is not required.
