Job Opportunity: Physchem Lab Analytical Scientist

For one of our clients based in Visp, we are seeking a Physchem Lab Analytical Scientist. The primary focus of this role is to support analytical activities necessary for producing comprehensive information and documentation suitable for clinical development up to the Process Validation stage. The candidate will emphasize method suitability assessment, validation, verification, and transfer in accordance with GMP, ICH guidelines, and the Lonza quality system.

This position requires building a robust scientific knowledge of physical and chemical technologies, particularly concerning pharmacopeia requirements and global alignment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Promote technical innovation, scientific understanding, and best practices.
  • Design and perform experiments, interpret results, and review data for physical and chemical techniques to support method implementation, validation, verification, and transfer.
  • Prepare validation and transfer protocols, reports, and procedures related to physical and chemical test methods. Collect and evaluate scientific data to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Summarize and communicate high-quality information to customers and team members.
  • Provide troubleshooting and training support for analytical methods and instruments.
  • Collaborate in the optimization of laboratory processes and the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Lead laboratory investigations, change requests, and CAPA implementation.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for physical and chemical techniques.
  • Coordinate project tasks related to the Analytical Science team.

Requirements

  • Full-time on-site position in Visp.
  • Business fluent in English; German is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise in GMP, transfer, and validation.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Excellent soft skills including flexibility, critical thinking, customer service, and communication.
