Your Tasks
- Investigate the structure of long bones across various species using synchrotron X-ray imaging and relate findings to their mechanical properties.
- Develop and implement Python-based X-ray imaging analysis tools in collaboration with the research group.
- Assist in designing and conducting X-ray characterization experiments on mineralized biological tissue, focusing on small-angle X-ray scattering tensor tomography.
- Publish results in reputable scientific journals and present findings at international conferences.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Biology, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
- Proficient communication skills in English.
- Experience in programming with Python is considered an asset.
- A keen interest in interdisciplinary research that integrates biology, computational tools, and X-ray methods.
- Enrolled in the doctoral school of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
