Your Tasks

  • Utilize Machine Learning models for automated analysis of core image data and geophysical data logs.
  • Apply explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques to identify driving features of ML models and to enhance model interpretability.
  • Conduct uncertainty quantification to evaluate the reliability of predictions and the robustness of ML/AI models.
  • Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present work at conferences.

Your Profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in geosciences (such as geochemistry, geology, geophysics, or a related discipline) with a strong interest in artificial intelligence and data-driven modeling, or alternatively, a master’s degree in data science, mathematics, computer science, informatics, or physics with a strong interest in geoscience applications.
  • You have experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, C/C++).
  • You possess a keen interest in data (such as images, categorical, numerical, geoscientific, subsurface data) and its interpretation.
  • You have excellent communication and writing skills in English.
